What is done with a relative who distributes narcotics
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 14748 )
Q: We are brothers living with our mother, and we have a brother who uses narcotics, and his situation has reached the point where he also distributes them. What is obligatory for us regarding him? And if we cannot expel him from the house because our mother is attached to him and we fear for her health, what is incumbent upon all of us?
A: It is obligatory for you to prevent your brother from using narcotics and to take hold of his hands; because of the great harms and serious corruptions in narcotics, and above that, the sin and disobedience to Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) that they contain. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
