Q3: What are the evidences for the prohibition of narcotics?
A3: Narcotics are among the abominable things, and Allah has forbidden all abominable things to His servants, permitting to them only the good things, as in His saying in Surat al-Ma'idah:[Al-Ma'idah 5:4] and His saying in Surat al-A'raf describing our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): [Al-A'raf 7:157] Also, Abu Dawud narrated: Mishkat al-Masabih 1284 It is known that narcotics are among the intoxicants, and because of the great harms in narcotics, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan Ibn Majah 2340Da'if (Darussalam) .

They ask you, [O Muhammad], what has been made lawful for them. Say, "Lawful for you are [all] good foods
يَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُmakes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil
وَيُحِلُّ لَهُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَيُحَرِّمُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْخَبَائِثَUmm Salama said the Prophet used to pray two rak'as after the witr . Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Ibn Majah added that they were short ones which he prayed while sitting.
عن أم سلمة - رضي الله عنها -، أن النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - نهى عن كل مسكر ومفترIt was narrated from 'Ubadah bin Samit that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ruled: “There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm.”
