I swore by the forbidden that I would not take land from my father

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 5818 )
Q: My father wanted to give me and my sisters plots of land from his farms, but I said: It is forbidden for me to take anything as long as my father
is alive, but these days the father has insisted that I take plots of land with my brothers,
and because I have a desire to secure the future of my children, and by the forbidden I do not mean divorce, nor did I specify my marriage or anything else, but it came out of me to make them understand my refusal to take.

A: If the reality is as you mentioned, that you intended by what you mentioned to refuse taking, not divorce, then you must pay the expiation for an oath if you take it, which is: feeding ten poor people, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. If you cannot do any of that, then fast for three days. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
