Fatwa number ( 13094 )
Q: A misunderstanding and a verbal dispute occurred between me and my brother (A. M. H).
Words were attributed to the aforementioned brother (A), which hurt my feelings and made me angry at him. I said to him: “It is forbidden for you to enter our gathering or our home.”
I intend by my prohibition only a single divorce using a single word. The aforementioned brother left for a period of time; he is one of the group and of the good brothers. After a short time, some people of good character intervened between us, and on one of the occasions at one of the group’s homes, they reconciled us, and the aforementioned brother (A) was forgiven. I know that my father (A) loves the aforementioned Ayyad and is angry at this behavior resulting from me. What is the solution for such an utterance that resulted from me, in a moment of anger and hatred for this person? I ask Allah, then your Eminence, to give me the text of the religious ruling? I fear falling into sin. May Allah preserve you and make you a support for Islam and Muslims.

A: If your intention in saying “It is forbidden for you” was divorce if the aforementioned (A) entered, and then he entered, one divorce has occurred on your wife. You may take her back as long as she is in the waiting period, provided that two divorces did not precede this one. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
