The second question of Fatwa No. ( 3894 )
Q2: I dreamed that I was next to my wife and that I had divorced her, and I answered her with inappropriate words in the dream, knowing that I had divorced her three times, that is: in the dream. What is your esteemed answer to this question?
A1: Your dream that you divorced your wife, and your speaking to her in the dream with inappropriate words, you are not held accountable for it, and it does not divorce your wife; because the pen is lifted from the sleeper. It is recommended for you, if you see something you dislike in your sleep, to spit to your left, seek refuge in Allah from Satan and from the evil of what you saw, three times, then turn over to your other side; based on what was reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that whoever does this, what he saw will not harm him.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
