Q: If a man divorces his wife while he is sleeping , does his divorce take effect?
A: If a man divorces his wife while he is sleeping, his divorce does not take effect; due to the generality of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Mishkat al-Masabih 3287, 3288 Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and al-Hakim from 'Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
