A woman wearing immodest clothing in front of women

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 20518 )
Q1: In recent times, there has been a proliferation of women wearing immodest clothing among women, which exposes parts of the body and leaves them bare, all of this being an imitation of disbelieving women. Their argument for the permissibility of wearing such clothing is that it is worn in front of women, and that a woman's awrah (part of the body that must be covered) in front of another woman is from the navel to the knee.
A1: A woman must be modest and adorn herself with shyness, even if only women are looking at her. She should not expose to them anything other than what is customary to expose and what is necessitated by need, such as going out among them in a suit, with the face, hands, and tips of the feet exposed, and the like. This is more concealing for her and further from places of
suspicion. It is forbidden (haram) for a woman to wear clothing that involves imitating disbelieving women, even if it is covering, let alone short, tight, or transparent clothing. This is based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
He who copies any people is one of them.من تشبه بقوم فهو منهم
Sunan Abi Dawud 4031Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani)
, and his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odour whereas its odour would be smelt from such and such distance.
Sahih Muslim 2128
, which was narrated by Muslim in his (Sahih). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
