The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 19930 )
Q4: His saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Is this hadith weak or authentic, and what is the meaning of this hadith?
Vol. 4: This hadith is authentic, narrated by al-Tirmidhi with the wording:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1173Da’if (Darussalam) and he said: "A good, strange hadith." It was also narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah and Ibn Hibban in their (Sahihayn) and others. The meaning of the hadith is that as long as the woman remains in her seclusion, that is better for her and more concealing, and further from her being a trial and from people being tried by her. For if she goes out, they will desire her.
and Shaytan will mislead her and mislead people through her, except whom Allah has mercy upon; because she engaged in one of the causes of his dominance over her, which is her going out of her house. So what is prescribed for the Muslim woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day is to stay in her house and not go out of it except for a need, with complete covering of her entire body, and leaving off adornment and perfume; acting in accordance with the saying of Allah, the Exalted:[Al-Ahzab 33:33] and His saying, the Exalted: [Al-Ahzab 33:53] the verse. Otherwise, she will fall into the traps of men of open sinfulness and lewdness, especially in markets, parks, and mixed gatherings, and how many there are of these in this time. We ask Allah to rectify the conditions of the Muslims, and there is no power and no strength except in Allah, the Most High, the Great. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.

A woman is an awrah
المرأة عورةVol. 4: This hadith is authentic, narrated by al-Tirmidhi with the wording:
The woman is Awrah, so when she goes out, the Shaitan seeks to tempt her.
المرأة عورة، فإذا خرجت استشرفها الشيطانand Shaytan will mislead her and mislead people through her, except whom Allah has mercy upon; because she engaged in one of the causes of his dominance over her, which is her going out of her house. So what is prescribed for the Muslim woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day is to stay in her house and not go out of it except for a need, with complete covering of her entire body, and leaving off adornment and perfume; acting in accordance with the saying of Allah, the Exalted:
And abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance
وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلاَ تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الأُولَىAnd when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts.
