The first question of Fatwa No. ( 4962 )
Q1: A - What is the ruling on a woman removing her body hair, and if it is permissible, who is allowed to do it? B - What type of gold is forbidden for a woman to wear? C - Is it permissible for a woman to apply makeup to her face in front of her mahrams? D - Is it permissible for a woman to wear pants in front of her mahrams? E - Is it permissible for a woman to expose her hair in front of non-mahram men
who are Muslim women? Is it permissible for a woman to wear gloves?
A1: A - It is permissible for her to do so, except for the hair of the eyebrows and the head; it is not permissible for her to remove them, or any part of them. She should do it herself, or her husband, or one of her mahrams, in the parts of her body that are permissible for him to see, or a woman in the parts of her body that are permissible for her to see. B - All types of gold are permissible for a woman to wear, and the brother Shaykh Isma'il al-Ansari has written a treatise on this matter to which one should refer. C - It is permissible for her to do so to adorn herself for her husband, and it is permissible for her to appear with it in front of her mahrams. D - It is not permissible for her to wear pants because of the imitation of men by women involved in it. E - It is not permissible for her to expose her hair in front of non-mahram men, but it is permissible for her to expose it to women absolutely, and it is permissible for her to wear gloves. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
