Q 11: Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to wear trousers (pants) while wearing a hijab when she goes out to the market, and what if the trousers are loose?
A 11: It is not permissible for a Muslim woman to wear trousers; because of the imitating of disbelieving women involved in that, and Muslims are prohibited from imitating disbelievers, and also because it defines her size and reveals the contours of her body, and in that lies a great trial for her and for men. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
