The clothed who are naked
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 9255 )
Q2: Are the clothed who are naked disbelievers or not? And how does the chosen Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) say:Muwatta Malik 48:8 ... the hadith, and at the end, if they are not disbelievers, are they cursed?
A2: Whoever among them considers that clothing permissible is a disbeliever, to be abode in the Fire forever if she dies upon that, she will not enter Paradise and will not smell its scent. If she wears that clothing while believing it to be forbidden, she has committed a major sin, but she does not thereby exit the religion of Islam, and she is under the will of Allah; if Allah wills, He will forgive her, and if He wills, He will punish her for the evil deeds she committed, so she will not enter Paradise and will not smell its scent, except after a prior punishment. This is the position of the people of the Sunnah, and it reconciles the texts of promise and threat, and it is a middle path between the position of the Murji'ah, the Khawarij, and the Mu'tazilah.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
