Q8: What is the ruling on a woman placing her abaya on her shoulder ?
A8: It is not permissible for a woman to place her abaya on her shoulders when going out; because of the imitating of men involved in that. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the woman who wears the dress of a man, and the man who wears the dress of a woman. May Allah guide to the straight path. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
