A man greeting a woman
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 18251 )
Q5: Is it permissible for my brother to greet my wife, and say to her:
How are you, in my presence or my uncle’s or my cousin’s, and everyone comes while my wife and I are sitting together?
A5: There is no harm in a man greeting a non-mahram woman with words, provided she is veiled, without shaking hands, and without seclusion between them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
