Fatwa number ( 14246 )
Q: My deceased father had a library of religious and historical books. Is it permissible for us to
make it an endowment (waqf) for Allah the Exalted and send it to Muslim countries abroad?
Please inform us. May Allah reward you with good, and thank you.

A: It is permissible for you to endow this library for students of knowledge, provided that all the heirs consent and there is no minor among them. This will remain a continuing charity (sadaqah jariyah) for your father. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
