The second question of Fatwa No. ( 8366 )
Q2: There is a man among the Muslims who built a mosque in which he prayed throughout his life until he met the certainty, and after his death, his son came and demolished the mosque and built
a house in it in which he resided
. Inform us of the ruling, may Allah reward you with good.

A: It is not permissible for the son to demolish the mosque that his father built if he had left it open for people to pray in it; because it is considered an endowment, and an endowment is not inherited. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
