Paying taxes from riba interest

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 14310 )
Q: My father, may Allah have mercy on him, had a small factory for ready-made clothing before he passed away. This factory stopped production and was liquidated. My father asked his partner in the factory to inform the tax authority of the liquidation so that they would stop calculating taxes on the factory, but he did not do so, may Allah forgive him. The factory remained closed for a long period. After several years, the tax authority came demanding payment of taxes for the past years when the factory was closed. Yes, they did not know it was closed, but even so, they did not determine the amount correctly; because they did not believe us when we proved to them that the factory was closed during that period, and they set a harsh and strange amount that we must pay. We even told them: these taxes do not correspond to the factory's profits in the years it was operating. They did not refer to the factory's accounting books, nor did they search for them, and they put down an arbitrary figure. Is this permissible for them? And am I allowed to accept this procedure? Some relatives told me: if you do not deal with the interest on your money in the bank, since you consider it forbidden, why do you not pay it to the taxes, since you are being wronged? Is this permissible? May Allah reward you with the best reward.
Since you consider it forbidden, why do you not pay it to the tax authorities because you are being wronged? Is this permissible? May Allah reward you with the best reward
.

A : It is not permissible for you to pay the riba interest for what the tax authority is demanding from you.
