The Meaning of His Saying, "The Day We Say to Hell, 'Are you full?' And It Says, 'Is There Any More?'"
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then Allah the Exalted mentioned at the end of this surah the ultimate destination of every human being, and He mentioned that people are divided into two groups: a group that will be among the people of the Fire, may Allah protect us from it, and a group that will be among the people of Paradise. As for the people of the Fire, Allah spoke about their abode and said: [Qaf 50:30] So it will not cease to be thrown into it, and it will say, "Is there any more? Is there any more?" This is a question of seeking, not of negation, as some exegetes have claimed; rather, it is a question of seeking, seeking an increase. But the mercy of Allah the Mighty and Majestic preceded His anger, so He, Exalted and Majestic is He, will place His Foot upon it until some of it contracts into some of it, and it will say, "Enough, enough," meaning, "That is sufficient for me, that is sufficient, enough, enough."
