Q2: If a man gives another man a specific amount of money to perform Hajj on behalf of a deceased person, and then the man goes to perform Hajj and this amount decreases or increases for him, what is the ruling on that? A2: Muslims are bound by their conditions. If a condition is established between the payer and the recipient that the recipient will return the excess and that the payer will complete the shortfall, then each of them must fulfill his commitment. If there is no condition between them, then he
takes the excess and completes the shortfall. As for the reward, he will have reward, if Allah wills, if he takes the money with a good intention and fulfills what is obligatory upon him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
