Returning the remaining price of the sold item to the seller after the buyer’s denial

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 11187 )
Q: I was working in the Northern Region in 1398 AH, and I bought a car from a showroom owner for a total of twenty-six thousand and six hundred riyals (26,600). I paid him twenty thousand and asked for a two-month extension for the remainder (6,600). When the extension ended, Satan caused me to fail to pay the amount. Later, my job transferred me to the
Southern Region, but I was not at ease with this amount that was in my debt. I was dismissed from service in 1405 AH, and I went to Riyadh and settled my rights. After that, I traveled directly from Riyadh to the North specifically to see this person. When I arrived at the showroom, I was told that the showroom had been closed and that he had a gold shop in the town. I went to look for him in the town, and I was told that the gold belonged to his brother, while he had a workshop on such-and-such street, and that he was not there now, having traveled abroad. I returned to the airport with the money in my pocket, then traveled to Jeddah and then to the South. I do not know his exact address, and I am unable to confront him out of fear that he might use some tactics against me; because at first I had the intention to go and look for him, but I could not find him. Your Eminence: I ask you to guide me on what I should do in this matter. May Allah reward you.

A: You must deliver the amount to him, even if it is through a bank, after you obtain his address from his brother who owns the gold shop, as mentioned in your question. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
