Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 17881 )
Q3: Can you mention to me the names of ten items in which trade is permissible ?
A3: Any material that is free from forbidden substances is permissible to trade in;
as Allah the Exalted said:
But Allah has permitted tradeوَأَحَلَّ اللَّهُ الْبَيْعَ
[Al-Baqarah 2:275]
, and any material that contains forbidden compounds is forbidden; as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Indeed, when Allah forbids something, He forbids its priceإن الله إذا حرم شيئًا حرم ثمنه
Sahih Ibn Hibban 26:35
. Among the permissible materials are: the meat of camels, cattle, sheep, and permissible birds, provided they are slaughtered according to the Islamic method; likewise pigeons and chickens; and likewise iron, copper, gold, silver, wood, grains, permissible fruits, permissible clothing, and other permissible tangible items. These cannot be limited to ten items, but are more than that.
