The phenomenon of plucking eyebrows has spread among girls and students in schools, and it is increasing daily

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He said: O honorable Shaykh, the phenomenon of plucking eyebrows has spread among girls and students in schools, and it is increasing daily. So what is your guidance, O honorable father, to the students, as well as to the teachers and the officials in girls' education?

The Shaykh : There is no doubt that what was mentioned in the question, if it is true and that plucking eyebrows has spread among women, is a serious matter, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
May Allah curse the one who plucks her eyebrows and the one who has her eyebrows plucked لعن النامصة والمتنمصة
, and plucking eyebrows is a form of plucking the hair of the eyebrows. Would a woman be pleased to be cursed and driven away from the mercy of Allah, may Allah protect us from that? No one is pleased with this. It is forbidden for the woman and for the one who plucks her eyebrows to do this act; rather, it is one of the major sins that neither prayer nor fasting expiates. Every one of us has a responsibility, so let him check on his family, including his daughters, wives, and sisters, and perhaps his mothers as well, and let him prevent them from this reprehensible act, which is considered one of the major sins. I fear that [Allah] will punish with a severe, immediate punishment, in place of this blessing we are living in now, because the Lord, Mighty and Majestic, said to His Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him):
(49) [O Muhammad], inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful. (50) And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment. نَبِّئْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الْأَلِيمُ
[Al-Hijr 15:49-50]
And Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said:
Know that Allah is severe in penalty and that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
[Al-Ma'idah 5:98]
And Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said:
And fear a trial which will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusively, and know that Allah is severe in penalty.
[Al-Anfal 8:25]
It is upon us, O brothers, not to make these blessings a cause for arrogance, ingratitude, and heedlessness of the remembrance of Allah. It is upon us to make them a means to obey Allah, so that perhaps Allah will have mercy on us in this world and the Hereafter. I ask Allah for guidance for everyone. The teachers should warn the students against this act, and the principals should monitor this with strict supervision. The Department of Girls' Education should spare no effort in establishing the girls in the best manner, as it helps in eliminating this phenomenon, if it is correct to call it a phenomenon, although I hope it is only in a small, ignorant group. Otherwise, if a woman knew that she is being driven away and kept distant from the mercy of Allah by this act, she would not do it.
Yes.
