Q2: We know that the nisab of gold is twenty mithqals; what is a mithqal?
A2: The established position with us is that the nisab of gold for which zakah becomes obligatory is twenty mithqals, and the amount of that in Saudi riyals is eleven riyals and three-sevenths of a riyal. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
