The death of the depositor and the lack of a known heir

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 19347 )
Q3: A man deposited a sheep with my father several years ago, then he passed away and my father received news of his death. No heir is known for him. The deposit increased and multiplied, and a few years ago, due to drought and the cost of maintaining it, my father
sold it for a sum exceeding four thousand. The money remained with him until Allah took him. He did not know where to spend it. What is the path by which it must be spent? Please inform us. May Allah reward you with good and grant you abundant reward and recompense.

A3: It is obligatory for you to hand over the aforementioned amount to the heirs of the deceased. If he has no heirs, then the amount should be given in charity with the intention that the reward belongs to its owner.
