The second question of Fatwa number ( 6990 )
Q 2: The scholars have differed regarding whether touching one's private parts invalidates the ablution, and those who said it does not invalidate it cited as evidence the hadith:Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 1:1687 , so which of the two views is the stronger?
A 2: Praise be to Allah alone, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. After that: The stronger of the scholars' views in this issue is the view of the majority,
which is: touching one's private parts invalidates the ablution; because the hadith:Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 1:1687 is weak, and it is not strong enough to contradict the authentic hadiths indicating that whoever touches his private parts must perform ablution, and the original ruling is that the command implies obligation, and even if it were not weak, it is abrogated by the hadith: Sunan Abi Dawud 181Sahih (Al-Albani) . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
Q 2: The scholars have differed regarding whether touching one's private parts invalidates the ablution, and those who said it does not invalidate it cited as evidence the hadith:
It is nothing but a part of you
ما هو إلا بضعة منكA 2: Praise be to Allah alone, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. After that: The stronger of the scholars' views in this issue is the view of the majority,
which is: touching one's private parts invalidates the ablution; because the hadith:
It is nothing but a part of you
ما هو إلا بضعة منكHe who touches his penis should perform ablution.
