The qiblah does not invalidate the wudu'
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 9513 )
Q 1: It is reported in an authentic hadith from our mother A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would wake up in a state of major ritual impurity, and he would perform wudu' and kiss one of his wives and pray, and likewise in Ramadan.
And the question here is: How would the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wake up in a state of major ritual impurity while he was the imam who led the Muhajireen, the Ansar, and others who had embraced Islam in prayer? And does the hadith state that he would have intercourse after the Fajr prayer, or how would he wake up in a state of major ritual impurity? And does the qiblah not invalidate the wudu'? Because we hear from some jurists that the qiblah is among the things that invalidate wudu', and how would the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kiss his wives after performing wudu' and pray without renewing the wudu'? Clarify the ruling on this question for us clearly, and may Allah reward you.
A 1: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions... And after: First: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would have intercourse with some of his wives at night, and then sometimes he would not perform the full ritual bath at night, so he would wake up in a state of major ritual impurity, and then he would perform the full ritual bath for the Fajr prayer. Second: The qiblah does not invalidate the wudu' according to the correct opinion of the scholars, even if pleasure is felt - provided that no emission occurs - and it does not invalidate the fast. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
