The time for combining the two prayers while traveling

Fatwa number ( 2547 )
Q: A traveler combined and shortened the Dhuhr and 'Asr prayers in the time of Dhuhr, combining them by bringing the later one forward. Then he arrived at his home and place of residence before the time of 'Asr, which he had prayed early and shortened with Dhuhr. Does the prayer he brought forward while traveling suffice for him, given that he arrived at his place of residence before its time or during its time? The same applies to Maghrib and 'Isha: if he brings the 'Isha prayer forward with Maghrib, and then the traveler arrives at his place of residence during the time of the brought-forward 'Isha prayer or before its time? We ask for an answer with clarification of the evidence if possible; because this happens often and there is much debate about it.
A: If a traveler combines Dhuhr and 'Asr, or Maghrib and 'Isha, by bringing the later prayer forward, and then arrives at his place of residence before the time of 'Asr enters or after it, or before the time of 'Isha enters or after it, his prayer is valid; because he combined it with the first prayer based on a valid legal excuse, which is travel. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
