Tucking the Garment

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 5133 )
Q5: It has been reported in the authentic Sunnah the prohibition of folding the garment, so what is meant by that?
A5: It is reported in the two Sahihs from Ibn Abbas from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said:
I was commanded to prostrate on seven bones and not to tuck my garment or my hairأمرت أن أسجد على سبعة أعظم وأن لا أكف ثوبًا ولا شعرًا
Sahih Ibn Hibban 10:211
The meaning of tucking is gathering and folding it so that it does not fall into one’s place of prostration.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
