The Opening to the Imam
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 6615 )
Q4: One night, I took the mushaf to follow the imam in the tarawih prayer. He began to make mistakes, so I corrected him, but he continued to err in all his recitations. Then I left him and did not correct his mistakes because he errs frequently. Is there a sin on me while I hear him reciting the Qur'an and making mistakes?
A:4 It is prescribed for the ma'mum, if his imam makes a mistake or forgets his recitation, to correct him and teach him the correct recitation. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
