The wisdom behind reciting quietly and aloud

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 10665 )
Q5: Why do we pray the midday and afternoon prayers quietly and the sunset and night prayers aloud?
A5: We do so following the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so we recite quietly in the prayers where he recited quietly and aloud in the prayers where he recited aloud; based on the saying of Allah (Mighty and Majestic):
There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent patternلَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ
[Al-Ahzab 33:21]
the verse, and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
offer your prayers in the way you saw me offering my prayersصلوا كما رأيتموني أصلي
Sahih al-Bukhari 6008
narrated by al-Bukhari in his Sahih.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
