The da'wah workers taking their expenses with them on their journey

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: The traveling da'wah workers who go to the villages for da'wah agreed to take their expenses with them instead of following the custom of the country. The custom of the country was that the da'wah workers would come and stay in the village with the people of the village, who would feed them and slaughter a sheep or a cow for them. Perhaps they would slaughter two sheep or more every two days. Not every village community can afford that, and some of them do not desire the da'wah. Is it a bid'ah (religious innovation) for the da'wah workers to take their expenses with them, as some people have said?
A1: Calling people to Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) is among the best of deeds, and the da'wah workers taking their expenses with them from their own money is a good thing. It is a matter of self-sufficiency and not needing people, so there is no blame on them for carrying their expenses with them wherever they go. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
It is a good thing for the da'wah workers to carry their own expenses with them from their personal funds, as this falls under the category of self-sufficiency and not needing people. Therefore, there is no harm in them carrying their expenses with them wherever they go. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
