The Woman's Attire in Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The eighth question of Fatwa No. ( 8708 )
Q8: For a period of time I used to pray without a hijab; because I did not know that the hijab is obligatory in prayer Do I have to repeat those prayers, even though it was a long period (6 years) approximately or more, of voluntary and regular prayers?
A8: If the situation is as you described, that you were ignorant of what is obligatory to cover in prayer, then you do not have to repeat the prayers of the past period, and you must repent to Allah for that, and it is prescribed for you to increase in righteous deeds; due to the saying of Allah
the Exalted:
But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.وَإِنِّي لَغَفَّارٌ لِمَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا ثُمَّ اهْتَدَى
[Taha 20:82]
and what came in its meaning in the verses, knowing that it is prescribed for the woman to uncover her face in prayer if there is no one present for whom she must observe the hijab. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
