How should a man dress for prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner asks: How should a man dress for prayer, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh: How?

The presenter : He asks: How should a man dress for prayer?

Answer:
The customary clothing: a shirt, or an izar and a rida, all of which is sufficient, provided it covers his awrah (the part of the body that must be covered), which for a man is from the navel to the knee. He should have a rida on his shoulders, based on his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
No one of you should pray in a single garment with no part of it on his shoulder.لا يصلين أحدكم في الثوب الواحد ليس على عاتقه منه شيء
Sunan an-Nasa'i 769Sahih (Darussalam)
If he places a rida on his shoulders and prays in an izar or in trousers, that is sufficient and his prayer is valid. If he wears something more beautiful, like a shirt, the addition is more complete and better. Likewise, wearing a turban; because Allah says:
O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjidيَا بَنِي آدَمَ خُذُواْ زِينَتَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ
[Al-A'raf: 31], meaning: at every prayer. So if he wears his ghutrah, meaning his turban, and a shirt and prays in that, that is good. And the izar and rida, or the shirt, is sufficient for that, even if his head is uncovered.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh 'Abd al-'Aziz. Perhaps this questioner intends wearing trousers for workers in the mosques as well?

The Shaykh: The clothing must be covering. The awrah is between the navel and the knee. If the trousers do not involve imitating the disbelievers, and if they are from the clothing of Muslims and cover from the navel to the knee, they are sufficient with covering the shoulders or one of them with a rida.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good
