The wisdom behind taking the Ka'bah as the qiblah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa number ( 2443 )
Q4: What is the wisdom in Muslims taking the Noble Ka'bah as their qiblah in prayer?
A4: It is not hidden that it is obligatory for the Muslim to do what he is able of the commanded acts, and to refrain from all that he is forbidden from among the prohibited acts, whether he understands the wisdom of the command or the prohibition or not, while believing that Allah does not command the servants except with what is in their benefit, and does not prohibit them except from what is harmful to them. All of His (Glorified and Exalted is He) legislations are for a wisdom that He knows; He reveals what He wills of it so that the believer increases in faith thereby, and He keeps to Himself what He wills so that the believer increases in faith by his submission to the command of Allah likewise. The Muslims took the Ka'bah as their qiblah in obedience to the command of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) in His saying:
We have certainly seen the turning of your face, [O Muhammad], toward the heaven, and We will surely turn you to a qiblah with which you will be pleased. So turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] are, turn your faces toward itقَدْ نَرَى تَقَلُّبَ وَجْهِكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ قِبْلَةً تَرْضَاهَا فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَحَيْثُمَا كُنْتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ
[Al-Baqarah 2:144]

And perhaps among the wisdom in Allah's command to them regarding this is that it is the qiblah of their father Ibrahim (peace be upon him), as came in the reason for the revelation of the aforementioned verse, from the love of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to be commanded to face the Ka'bah in his prayer instead of facing the Sacred Mosque in Jerusalem ; so Allah commanded him to do so. It may also be to cut off the Jews' argument against them by their agreement with them in their qiblah, or it may be for something else, and knowledge is with Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
