The Virtue of Building Mosques

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 1127 )
Q1: I am from a village in Yemen that still lives in severe ignorance. There are approximately fifty men in it, and there is no mosque or school. The children are increasing in number, and I want to build a mosque for Allah. I ask you to guide me to what is good for me and for them, such as sermons that conform to the Book and the Sunnah for Jumu'ah, the festivals, and the eclipses, as well as books of the Prophetic Sunnah and the like.
A1: Building mosques is among the deeds of righteousness and good. Indeed, whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise. So strive, O dear brother, to carry out what you have resolved to do as long as you are able to do so, and be sincere in your intention for Allah in that. Choose the most suitable location in the town for building the mosque, and cooperate with those knowledgeable about the qiblah to determine its direction. Choose for it an imam who is good at reciting the Qur'an and prayer, and who is well-versed in his religion to the extent possible, so that he may undertake teaching the children the Qur'an and any men who wish to learn, and explaining to them the matters of their religion. As for books, among the best and most suitable for you are the book (Riyad al-Salihin) by al-Nawawi , the books (al-Tawhid), (Kashf al-Shubuhat), and (Thalathat al-Usul) by Shaykh Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab , the book (Tathir al-'Aqidah) by the scholar Amir Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-San'ani , and the book
(al-Jawab al-Kafi li Man Sala 'an al-Dawa' al-Shafi) by Ibn al-Qayyim , (Tafsir Ibn Kathir), and the book (Bulugh al-Maram) by Ibn Hajar and its commentary (Subul al-Salam). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
