Building shops under the mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 2156 )
Q: In the city of Falfal in the district of Mlbsba , there are mosques built on a single story on land with a large area, and they have no income. Allah has guided some people of good to rebuild the mosque on two floors: the upper floor for worship, and the lower floor to be built with shops to be rented to Muslims, and what is returned from them is spent on the mosque to meet its needs. What is the ruling of the Shari'ah in this?
A: It is permissible to make the floor under the mosque into shops to be rented for the benefit of the mosque in order to meet its needs. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
