Sitting in the mosque with the feet facing the qiblah
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 5795 )
Q4: What is the ruling on one who places his feet and directs them toward the qiblah in the mosque? Is it permissible to eat and sleep in the mosque?
A4: There is no blame on the Muslim to extend his feet or one foot toward the qiblah, whether he is in the mosque or elsewhere. There is no blame on him to eat in the mosque or sleep in it if he needs to do so. He should maintain the cleanliness of the mosque. If he experiences a wet dream while sleeping in it, he should hasten to leave it when he wakes up so that he may perform the full ritual bath from major ritual impurity.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
