The Cross in Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The ninth question from Fatwa No. ( 2615 )
Q9: What is your ruling regarding the watch (or cross), is it permissible for us to pray with it or not?
A9: It is not permissible to wear a watch with a cross, neither in prayer nor otherwise, until the cross is removed by scratching it off or painting over it to cover it. However, if one prays while wearing it, his prayer is valid. It is obligatory for him to hasten to remove the cross, because it is a symbol of the Christians, and it is not permissible for a Muslim to imitate them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
