Wearing clothes that have a cross on them
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The seventh question of Fatwa No. ( 18898 )
Q7: What is the ruling on wearing clothes that have a cross on them, when we did not know of its presence when we bought them, since it is not in its usual shape for us to know about it before buying them, but rather in unknown and unclear shapes? What is the ruling on wearing them?
A7: If one knows of the presence of the cross in the clothes after buying them, then it is forbidden to pray in them, and it is obligatory to remove the cross by whatever removes its image, such as rubbing it off, dyeing it, or the like. And because al-Bukhari narrated in (his Sahih) from 'Imran ibn Hutan : that 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) told him:Mishkat al-Masabih 4491 And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
