The Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) Advice

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question 8 of Fatwa No. ( 5634 ):
Q8: Before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, what advice did he give to his Companions?
A8: It is established that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said in his final days, in the sermon on the Day of 'Arafah during the Farewell Pilgrimage:
I am leaving among you two things; if you hold fast to them, you will never go astray: the Book of Allahإني تارك فيكم ما لن تضلوا إن تمسكتم به: كتاب الله
, and in another narration mentioned by al-Hakim in his Sahih:
The Book of Allah and my Sunnahكتاب الله وسنتي
. It is also established that he (peace and blessings be upon him) advised his Ummah to pray and to treat slaves with kindness, and he also advised expelling the polytheists, Jews, and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula . And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said before his death by five days:
for Allah has taken me as His friend, as he took Ibrahim as His friend. Had I taken any one of my Ummah as a friend, I would have taken Abu Bakr as a friend. Beware of those who preceded you and used to take the graves of their prophets and righteous men as places of worship, but you must not take graves as mosques; I forbid you to do that.
Sahih Muslim 532
Muslim narrated it in his Sahih, from Jundub ibn 'Abd Allah (may Allah be pleased with him). We advise you to review [Al-Bidaya] by al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him), regarding the discussion of his (peace and blessings be upon him) passing and his wills.
