The sixth question of Fatwa No. ( 9604 ):
Q6: Surat al-Mulk: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent -تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
[Al-Mulk 67:1]
, does reciting this surah every night intercede for its reciter at the time of death?

Volume 6:This hadith was narrated byAbu Dawudin his Sunan with this text: "It was narrated to us by'Amr ibn Marzuq, who said: "It was narrated to us byShu'bah, who said: "We were informed byQatadahfrom'Abbas al-JashmifromAbu Hurayrah(may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:
A surah of the Qur'an containing thirty verses will intercede its reader till he will be forgiven. That is: "Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the sovereignty"سورة من القرآن ثلاثون آية تشفع لصاحبها حتى غفر له تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ
Sunan Abi Dawud 1400Hasan (Al-Albani)
, andal-Mundhiriin his summary: it was narrated byal-Nasa'iand Ibn Majah, andal-Tirmidhisaid: "It is a good hadith, but there is weakness in its chain." And on this basis, it is hoped for the one who believes in this surah and maintains its recitation
seeking the Face of Allah, taking into account the lessons and admonitions contained therein, and acting upon the rulings within it, that it will intercede for him. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
