Exegesis of Surat al-Adiyat

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q1: What is the interpretation of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
(1) By the racers, panting, (2) And the producers of sparks [when] striking (3) And the chargers at dawn,وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا (1) فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا (2) فَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا
[Al-'Adiyat 100:1-3]
, and what is the meaning of His saying:
And the racing [horses]وَالْعَادِيَاتِ
? Please advise us, may Allah reward you with good.

A1:
And the [horses] that gallop with a sound of breathingوَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا
Then those that emit sparksفَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا
Then those that raid in the morningفَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا
The general meaning is: That Allah the Exalted swears by the horses that gallop with a speed at which the sound of their breathing echoing in their chests is heard, and sparks are emitted from their striking the stones with their hooves, fire that the eyes see, and they raid the enemies
in the morning in jihad in the path of Allah, and the answer to the oath is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لِرَبِّهِ لَكَنُودٌ
[Al-'Adiyat 100:6]
. We advise you in such cases: to read some of the famous books of tafsir, such as: Ibn Kathir and al-Baghawi and al-Jalalayn. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
