Q: Can we consider Christians to be our brothers exactly like Muslims, without any distinction?
A: It is forbidden to take Christians as brothers. Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Ma'idah 5:51] And He the Exalted said: [Al-Hujurat 49:10] Thus, He (Glorified and Exalted is He) restricted true brotherhood to the believers.
And it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sahih Muslim 2564a This is the hadith. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَتَّخِذُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى أَوْلِيَاءَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ مِنْكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَThe believers are but brothers
إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌAnd it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor humiliates him nor looks down upon him
المسلم أخو المسلم، لا يظلمه ولا يخذله، ولا يكذبه، ولا يحقره
