Questions eight and ten of fatwa number ( 9272 ):
Q8: Does coercion by word or deed make it permissible to display disbelief?
J8: If coercion is established, it is permissible to outwardly display disbelief while the coerced person’s heart remains at rest in faith; due to the generality of the statement of Allah the Exalted:
Whoever disbelieves in Allah after his belief... except for one who is forced [to renounce his religion] while his heart is secure in faith. But those who [willingly] open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allah, and for them is a great punishment;
