Q1: Is it permissible for a Muslim to perform ruqyah (healing by Qur'anic recitation) with any type of ruqyah?
A1: Ruqyah is permissible with what does not contain shirk (associating partners with Allah), such as the chapters and verses of the Qur'an, and the dhikr (remembrance of Allah) established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). It is forbidden with what contains shirk, such as protecting a patient by mentioning the names of jinn (the jinn) and the righteous, and with what its meaning is not understood, out of fear that it may be shirk; because it is established from the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan Abi Dawud 3886Sahih (Al-Albani) narrated by Muslim .
