Sending prayers and blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is prescribed

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: If sending blessings is an innovation, is it permissible to prevent people from sending blessings upon the noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?
A2: Sending prayers and blessings upon our Messenger and upon his brothers the Prophets is not an innovation, as the questioner mentioned, but rather it is prescribed; based on the aforementioned evidence. Therefore, it is not permissible to prevent people from doing so, except if it is done in a manner that was not practiced during the time of the righteous Salaf, the Companions, and those who followed them in excellence. For example, if the mu'adhdhin recites them aloud after the adhan, like the adhan itself, or if a group gathers at specific times to send prayers and blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) collectively. In this case, the manner of sending prayers and blessings is what is condemned, because this was not reported from our righteous Salaf. Thus, performing them in this manner is the innovation that is condemned, not the essence of sending prayers and blessings.
