Where is the grave of al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) located?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 9123 ):
Q4: The people of Egypt claim that the head of al-Husayn is with them, and the people of Iraq claim a mosque they call: al-Mashhad al-Husayni, and I do not know the truth of that, and where is the grave of al-Husayn according to the most likely opinion of the scholars?
A4: al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) was killed in Iraq in Muharram of the year 61 AH, and his body was buried in Iraq , as for the claim that his head was transferred to Egypt and buried there, we do not know any basis for it, and some of the meticulous scholars among the people of knowledge have denied it, and your ignorance of it does not harm you, and what is prescribed for you and for other Muslims is to express satisfaction with him and with the rest of
the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (may Allah be pleased with them all). And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
