Hassan ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa number ( 6581 )
Q 3: Some people say that Hassan ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) was a coward, and they cite the statement of Ibn Hajar in *Al-Isabah* as evidence. What is your opinion on this?
A 3 : What a Muslim should do regarding the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) is to mention their virtues, praise them with what they deserve, and refrain from mentioning their faults. As for what is mentioned about Hassan ibn Thabit in books of history and biographies that he was a coward, if it is true, then mentioning it is backbiting, and no good is gained from mentioning it. If it is a lie, then describing him with it is backbiting and falsehood, and refraining from it is more obligatory, and guarding the tongue from it is more binding. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
