The intended meaning of "the night" in the verse of Allah, "In it is decreed every wise matter," and the ruling on standing in prayer on the night of the middle of Sha'ban

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 7929 ):
Q1: My question is about the night of the middle of Sha'ban. Is this the verse in Surat al-Dukhan
On that night is made distinct every precise matter -فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ
[Ad-Dukhan 44:4]
intended to refer to the night of the middle of Sha'ban,
or does it refer to Laylat al-Qadr, the twenty-seventh night of the blessed month of Ramadan? And is it recommended to engage in worship, dhikr, standing in prayer, and reciting the Qur'an on the night of the middle of Sha'ban, and to fast on the fourteenth day of Sha'ban?

A1: First: The correct view is that the night mentioned in this verse is Laylat al-Qadr, not the night of the middle of Sha'ban. Second: It is not recommended to single out the night of the middle of Sha'ban for any of the acts of worship you mentioned or any others; rather, it is like the other nights. Singling it out for any acts of worship is a religious innovation (bid'ah). And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
