The Weakness of the Hadiths Regarding the Night of the Middle of Sha'ban

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener Nu'man Muhammad from Yemen sent a question, saying: Is there anything reported regarding the virtue of the night of the middle of Sha'ban? I have heard a hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in which he said:
Fast during its day and stand in prayer during its nightصوموا نهارها وقوموا ليلها
Is this hadith authentic?

Answer:
It is not authentic. All the hadiths regarding the middle of Sha'ban that have been reported are weak and not authentic. It is not permissible to single out anything... neither by standing in prayer nor by fasting. Rather, one fasts three days of every month: the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth of Sha'ban, and other days are recommended. As for singling out the middle of the month for fasting, or the night for standing in prayer, all of it is not authentic, and there is no authentic hadith in it; they are all weak, and some are fabricated. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
