Calling to Allah is the Path of the Messengers

Fatwa No. ( 3778 ):
Q: It is obligatory for every Muslim to call his heedless brothers, who are immersed in amusements and pleasures, to Allah. We are in Algeria and we organize tours to bring the public to the mosque to remind them, in accordance with the saying of Allah the Exalted:[Al-A'la 87:9], so that we may bring them out of their heedlessness, with the permission of Allah. However, some shaykhs in Algeria say that bringing people who are not in a state of ritual purity into the mosque is forbidden. We ask your eminence to refute this claim or provide its evidence, and we ask your eminence to answer our question if you would be so kind, at the earliest opportunity?
A: Calling to Allah is the path of the Messengers, the last of whom is Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says:[Yusuf 12:108]. The call is made to the individual and to the group, in mosques, clubs, universities, schools, and other places of gathering. The call is general, for the disbeliever, the open sinner, and the believer.
The disbeliever, so that perhaps he may turn back from his disbelief; the open sinner, so that perhaps he may abandon his open sinfulness; and the believer, so that his faith and insight may increase. There is nothing wrong with a non-Muslim entering the mosque if there is a legitimate Shari'ah benefit in it, such as the hope that he will embrace Islam if he hears the remembrance and attends a circle of knowledge. It is authentically reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he ordered that Thumamah ibn Uthal al-Hanafi be tied to one of the pillars of his mosque (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was a disbeliever, and Allah guided him and he embraced Islam. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
